Projects across 2022-2023 includes:

• BBC Radio Drama Love Across the Ages (Composer),

• solo show Ten Nights by Phizzical Productions (Sound Designer) directed by Samir Bhamra,

• Born and Bread with Brighton People's Theatre directed by Jack Parris (Sound Designer), and

• Unearthing Stories documentary project with Little Green Pig Theatre (Sound Designer).

A six character version of the original text adapted and directed by our Associate Artist Bill Alexander.

An important, delicate piece of political theatre as part of the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower’s journey. The political importance of this project in very tense times is an exciting and rare opportunity and responsibility, which promises to support and demand artistic work of the highest order.”

Sarah responds to Holst's original opera Savitri and writes a choral reinterpretation with the use of Indian classical instruments. Working with harmonium, tanpura (drone), vocal and monologue and performed by Freny Nina and Clive Hunte.

"Alongside these three works by Holst, audiences will be able to enjoy a new creative response to Sāvitri, commissioned by and South Asian Arts UK, as composer Sarah Sayeed and librettist Jaspreet Kaur reimagine Holst’s opera for a 21st– century context. This new Sāvitri, which blends spoken word with music for voice, bass, veena, sitar, and violin, is one of two ‘new responses to old operas’ that NOG have commissioned with the aim of creating new music theatre responses to opera’s past and ‘bringing a contemporary perspective to the operas, composers and stories that have dominated the art for centuries."

Sāvitri will be performed at Morley Town Hall in Leeds on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th August.

A moving and funny new play by Shahid Iqbal Khan and directed by Kash Arshad, 10 Nights is the story of one man’s journey of self-discovery and facing the consequences of your actions.

Humankind vs. Technology is a unique exploration of the pitfalls of dependence on technology, and a celebration of what it means to be human, created and portrayed through Indian music and dance.

Kathak artist Jyoti Manral was astonished to hear her daughter's first words, instead of 'Mama' or 'Papa', to be 'Alexa stop!'. This in turn triggered a journey of introspection, re-evaluation and examination of the ways that technology creeps into our lives and relationships without us being aware.

Jyoti is joined in creative collaboration witih sound artist Sarah Sayeed, together creating immersive soundscapes and a contemporary dance piece weaving through  themes of humanity, dependence and artificial intelligence.​

Strongback Productions are collaborating with the poetry agency, Speaking Volumes on a programme called Come on In. This is an invitation to artists and audiences to get a closer look at the lives of people within communities as a response to the fear and polarisation that has been encouraged since Brexit.
